About Me
Hi! I'm Doug McCarty of SomaLux Energy Arts. SomaLux Energy Arts provides relaxing and energizing energy therapy services in Buncombe and Henderson counties of North Carolina. Trained at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe Arizona, I've been practicing Polarity Therapy since 2007. In 2022, I expanded my repertoire by adding Reiki practices as well. I'm certified as an Associate Practitioner (APP) by the American Polarity Therapy Association, and I've attained and been initiated as a Level III practitioner in Usui Reiki, the original and oldest lineage of Reiki practice.

Your body has an innate ability to heal, regulate, and return to balance. My work is devoted to supporting that natural intelligence rather than trying to force change. Through Polarity Therapy and Reiki, sessions invite your system to slow down, unwind, and reconnect with its own rhythms. Reiki often offers a quiet space to rest and reset, while Polarity Therapy generally helps gently energize and enliven the system. In a world that often keeps us in constant stress and mental overdrive, this work creates room to both recharge and feel more at home in your body.
I see each client as a whole person—physical, mental, and energetic—and sessions unfold as a collaborative process shaped by your needs and intentions.
